SSZ.dev: Features and Resources for SSZ – SimpleSerialize
In preparation for the transition to Proof of Stake, Ethereum core developers took the opportunity to modify some elements of the Ethereum protocol. Is this the case with SSZ or WhiteApply WhiteFrom the airWithe, Canonical serial format for Ethereum Consensus PoS layer.
Serialization is the process of converting data into a format to be transmitted or saved – in the case of SSZ, the conversion of aggregate data into bytes to represent the Merkle tree. Although SSZ was created for Ethereum, it was designed to extend to other use cases. With that in mind, SSZ.dev was created to make SSZ more accessible to developers both inside and outside the Ethereum ecosytem.
SSZ.dev was funded in March 2021, which started in May and has continued to grow. It is full of great resources, some original and some collected from previous community efforts for those who want to learn or build with SSZ. Some important points:
- Visualizer: Play with variables in different serial types and see the result as both serial values and Merkle tree details.
- Implementation: A list of active SSZ implementations and their basic characteristics (languages, licenses, maintainers, etc.).
- Testing: Combines test kits developed by different practitioners, along with general information such as vocabulary, test results, and configuration.

CadCAD Edu for cadCAD Masterclass: Ethereum Validator Economics
CadCAD, a BlockScience project, is an open source framework for simulating complex adapter dynamics.Card) Bring the benefits of Computer Aided Design (CAD) For the design and validation of complex systems such as blockchain networks. CadCAD Edu was created to provide educational resources for the use of cadCAD in system engineering settings.
The first cadCAD Edu course, a beginner level program, and the “cadCAD Hacks” series for intermediate users, focused on learning to use the cadCAD framework for modeling and simulation. With their first master class, the cadCAD EDU team wants to allow students to improve their cadCAD skills through hands-on experience with a complex system we all know and love: Ethereum. In particular, the course introduces the radCAD and Ethereum Economic Model libraries that students use to model and experiment with Ethereum validator economics.
After receiving funding in early 2021 Ethereum Validator Economics Masterclass Launched In early September. This course includes approximately 3 hours of instruction, followed by a Jupyter notebook, exercises, and exams with certifications available on all course requirements. This course is free for anyone, although you will need solid knowledge of both Ethereum and cadCAD to get the most out of it.
Meanwhile, the Ethereum economic model has taken over personal life. It was developed for Masterclass in collaboration with the EF Robust Incentives Group, but has evolved into a powerful and authoritative research tool. A dedicated repository for researchers, engineers, stakeholders, or others may want to play with or create this template, or you can check out the front-end simulator at ethmodel.io to see it in action without any technical expertise. .
